The worst is yet to come—let’s make the best of it. Prep Kitchen is an ongoing exploration of what might be on the menu at the end of the world. Drawing on the cult of doomsday prepping, traditional methods of preservation, and local contemporary food trends, the aim of the project is to provide creative and practical survival techniques in the event of an emergency. In a time when it is easy to adopt a dystopian outlook, Prep Kitchen celebrates resourcefulness and self-sufficiency.Inspired by the design of counter culture catalogues of the 1960’s, we created an exhibition design, lunch menu, and publication that serves as a playful handbook to best enjoy the end of days. Created in collaboration with Dani Berg.
